Dr. Stan Shih invited the two presidents of the soon-to-be joint university, Dr. Mau-Chung Frank Chang, Dr. Hsu-Sung Kuo, and chairmen Hung-Jen Chang, to discuss how to highlight the benefits of the collaboration between medicine and engineering. Dr. Shih proposed an idea. The research on stem cell manufacturing at Kyoto University is encountering bottleneck on the technology of mass production, perhaps Taiwan’s semiconductor technology can provide a solution. It is worth a try.

May 15, 2020
CiRA Foundation and Chiao-Tung University signed MOU for cooperation in education and science research. Especially in iPS cell processing medical engineering, the goal is to develop the next generation iPS 3D automation processing technology to be utilized on bio-medical clinical applications.
January, 2022
Dr. Shinya Yamanaka and CiRA Foundation had press release about the cooperation. Two joint research projects were conducted.
March-April, 2022
TCPC formation were launched. Dr. Hsu-Sung Kuo serves as chairman of TCPC.
April, 2022
CiRA Foundation visited Taiwan again and met with Taoyuan Mayor Zheng.

August 4, 2022
TCPC was established with board members: Dr. Hsu-Sung Kuo, Prof. Mau-Chung Frank Chang, Dr. Stan Shih, Prof. Ming-Te Wang, Frank Hong. Dr. Hsu-Sung Kuo serves as chairman.
